The Story

Why we built The Grande Dom.

It began with a conversation—one that reshaped how we think about time, risk, and what truly matters. While talking with a deeply respected friend, a simple question was posed:

“If you were my age, what advice would you give yourself?”

His answer was immediate and unwavering: “I would take more chances on myself.”

Not long after, he tragically passed away. Within the year, we lost another larger-than-life close family figure far too soon—a man who always put family and friends above all else and whose stature and personality were larger than life.

Those losses sharpened a truth we often overlook: life is fragile, and the moments we assume we’ll have later are never guaranteed.

That realization followed us west. Still carrying grief and reflection, we stood for the first time beneath the Tetons. The scale, the quiet power, the perspective—it stopped us. In that place, clarity emerged. If time is our most precious asset, then how we spend it—and with whom—matters more than anything else.

So we took a chance.

We chose to build something with intention from the ground up. Not a trophy property. Not a typical luxury rental. But a retreat designed to pull people out of the noise of everyday life and into presence, connection, and awe.

The Grande Dom exists to foster what lasts;

shared experiences,

deeper relationships,

and moments that slow time rather than rush it.

It is a place to disconnect from schedules and distractions—and reconnect with the people in front of you, the landscape around you, and the clarity only nature can provide.

This home is our belief, made tangible:

  • that the best memories are created when we dare to pause,

  • that taking chances on what matters most is always worth it,

  • and that some places don’t just host your stay—they change how you remember it.

unless we choose to.
